The airport’s public art collection is a vibrant representation of Florida artists. A notable exception is the airport’s first custom designed piece: our signature glass wall at our main entrance created by Kentucky artist Guy Kemper. SunSkySea, a 45’ long by 5’ high blown and painted glass wall was created in 2009 as part of a major terminal renovation. It is our welcome to visitors depicting our beaches with a seascape of blue water and sky, yellow splashes of sun and white expressive gestures representing the wind. Photography © James Borchuck.
Internationally known and local artist Duncan McClellan has two glass vessels featured in our terminal corridor. Featured here is Rainforest, a part of Pinellas County’s Public Art collection.
A couple of pieces depicting Florida’s natural beauty are Kevin Grass’s Clearwater Marina and John Briggs’ River Near Coast.
Artwork such as Leaves and Spirals by Lindsay McCoy and Venus by Charles Parkhill provide a pleasant diversion for our travelers as they move about the airport.
Several of Mary Klein‘s whimsical Cloisonné Enamel on Copper pieces are in our departure lounges to remind our visitors of what they will be missing when they leave, including “Mile Markers”.
Our terminal renovation also included architectural installations of art including a series of terrazzo tile inserts of beach life. Our corridor walls are adorned with 8 unique palms by the design team of Leonard-Johnson.

Our restaurant First Class Concessions also joined in the collection, adding 5 Giclee’ prints from artist Joyce Lazzara in the 2nd floor restaurant.
