July 17, 2003
Southeast Airlines, Inc., a leading low-cost public charter carrier, today announced expansion of its popular jet service from the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Airport to Columbus, Ohio.

Beginning October 9th, 2003, Southeast will offer non-stop jet service to Ohio's conveniently located, Rickenbacker International Airport, serving the entire Ohio region. Flights will depart St. Petersburg-Clearwater Airport at 7:30am and arrive at the Rickenbacker International Airport, Columbus, Ohio, at 10:00am daily (except Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday). Flights will be available for sale effective Monday, July 21st.

In addition to the new Ohio flights, Southeast offers non-stop air service to Gary/Chicago, Newburgh, N.Y., Gulfport, M.S., and Allentown, PA from the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport.

Scott Bacon, Southeast's Vice President of Planning said, "We feel that Rickenbacker International Airport in Columbus offers many of the same advantages that the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport offers in terms of convenience and a hassle-free airport experience", Bacon said. "Our strategy of providing low-fare non-stop service to many underserved communities such as Allentown, Newburgh and Columbus has been very well received, and we look forward to adding new service on Wednesdays and Saturdays in each of these markets for Winter of 2004."
